Brown bears live in many different habitats. Habitats are places where animals normally or naturally live. The brown bear is a carnivore. A carnivore is an animal that eats meat. This bear eats fish such as salmon. Brown bears also live in forests, tundra and on the plains.
The brown bear looks different from most bears. It has a shoulder hump. They got the hump from the muscles they use for digging. Hunting and destroying the brown bears' home has made the population of brown bears become less. Brown bears can weigh any where from 300 to 860 pounds.
