Here we have the Center Family Dwelling.  This is the oldest building on the property.  It took ten years for the community to build.  This building was established in 1809. 

These steps lead up to the main entrance on the lower level of this dwelling.  The Shaker men lived and entered on the east side of the family dwelling.  The west door and west living quarters was used by the Shaker women.
