Minutes
Members present: David Ewen, Andrea Guise, Janie Griggs, Leslie LeBlanc and Ty Sturdivant. Also in attendance was Mr. Ed McCaw.
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM in the Stonewall Library for the purpose of consultation with the council on hiring of new faculty.
The interview committee consisting of Deann Eckert, parent, Lynda Davis, 4th grade teacher, Donna Lansden, kindergarten teacher, and Ed McCaw, principal. The committee recommended Melinda Vanover for kindergarten and DeAnna Johnson for 4th grade.
If the council is in agreement with the proposal, the process is as follows:
-personnel action forms will be sent to the superintendent
-the teachers could start on Thursday, and possibly meet with their students on Friday
Classified positions will be determined at a later date.
Action: Janie Griggs moved to accept the proposal on the teacher hiring. Leslie LeBlanc seconded the motion, which was approved by consensus.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:43 PM.
