SPECIAL SBDM COUNCIL MEETING
September 25, 2003

Stonewall Elementary School held a special called SBDM meeting on Thursday, September 25, at 6:00 pm in the school library.  Principal Ed McCaw called the meeting for the following purposes.

  1. Consultation on the Helping Custodian position
  2. Presentation of field trip requests for Council approval

Members present:  Jane Armistead, Michelle Cohron, Andrea Guise, Julie Pearman, Janie Griggs.  Also in attendance was principal Ed McCaw.

The meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM.

Agenda Item 1 – Custodial Interviews

                The committee conducted interviews and provided a written recommendation for the council. 

Action:  Per the committee’s recommendation, Michelle Cohron moved to accept the committee’s recommendation in hiring a new custodian.  Janie Griggs seconded the motion, which was approved by consensus.

Agenda Item 2 – Field Trips

                The following field trip requests were presented:

                                Ft. Harrod State Park -  5th grade

                                Bi-Water Farm – Erwin, LeBlanc

                                Evans Orchard – Kindergarten

                                Ft. Boonesboro – Gunn, LeBlanc and D. Moore

                                Lex. Children’s Theatre – Second Grade

Action:  Jane Armistead moved to approve the field trips as listed in the agenda, pending transportation approval (on the last entry).  Andrea Guise seconded the motion, which was approved by consensus.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:17 PM.
