The purpose of this policy is to guide teachers in creating school related web pages.
The teacher/classroom web pages may serve as a means of communication
to parents regarding classroom activities.
Teachers can include:

Permission
slips
Calendars
Units
Downloadable
documents
Class
rules and expectations
Homework
policies
Reading
lists
Rubrics/Scoring
guides
Parent
tips
Checklists
Field
trips
Other
items as deemed appropriate by the teacher or School Technology Coordinator
(STC)
The teacher/classroom web pages may facilitate instruction.
Teachers can include:
Showcasing student achievement

products
Educational
links*

Virtual

items as deemed appropriate by the teacher

teacher/classroom web pages may be used to promote student learning.
Teachers can use:

Scavenger

The teacher/classroom web pages will not
include the following:
Pictures identifying students
Identifying
students by using their first and
last name
Any
unpreviewed links
Any
links not approved by teachers or by Stonewall’s STC
Non-educational
links
*It
is the teachers’ responsibility to ensure that each Internet link posted on
their web page is grade-level appropriate and can be used for educational
purposes.
**Students
and parents must sign a permission form before any student products may be put
on the teacher/classroom web site.
