POLICY 7.2
DRESS CODE
Stonewall Traditional Elementary School is an educational facility. Students attending
Stonewall will abide by the following dress code in a manner that will not disrupt the
learning process.
- Students may not wear garments with obscenities, vulgarities, profane language, double
meaning, alcohol or cigarette advertisements, ethnically, sexually, or racially offensive
stereotypical language or pictures.
- Students may not wear garments which expose their midriff.
- Students must wear pants, skirts, and shorts at waist level, and no part of any
undergarment may be revealed as a result of fashion or style. Long shirts or sweaters will
not alter this requirement.
- Students may not wear shorts or skirts shorter than the fingertips of the childs
extended arm.
- Students may not wear chains attached to wallets or pants.
- Students may not wear hats or sunglasses while inside the building.
- Students may not wear facial jewelry, except in the ear.
- Clothing
with letters, words, or phrases across the seat may not be worn, excepting minor
manufacturer’s logos or trademarks.
- Students may not wear shoes which contain any type of wheels.
- Students may not wear tops with spaghetti straps or halter type necks.
- Interpretation of the Dress Code Policy is at the discretion of the
principal.
