FIELD TRIPS

           The following procedure will be followed when teachers are scheduling field trips.

1.      The teacher will submit the Field Trip Request form to the Principal who will forward it to the Curriculum Committee.  An extended field trip requires the submission of the district extended field trip form and the school field trip form. 

2.      The Curriculum Committee will recommend approval/disapproval of the field trip request to the Council through its monthly minutes.  The committee will notify the teacher of its decision.

3.      The teacher and the Field Trip Coordinator will complete the plans for the field trip.

4.      If the field trip requires a charter bus, then the cost of the bus shall be prorated between the chaperones riding on the bus and the students.  The requesting teacher may ask the Curriculum Committee for a waiver of this provision.  If granted, the committee will report the reasons to the Council through their minutes.
