Technology Committee

Topics Discussed: 

Headsets – A letter is to be written by Amy Ford asking for the PTA to purchase 30 headsets for the main computer lab at $8.47 each.  This letter will be given to Mary Jane Kinman to present to the PTA’s next meeting. 

Printers – In order to help cut the costs of ink purchases (averaging at least $5,000/year) and cut costs of classroom printer replacements, the technology committee unanimously voted to have 3 Lexmark black and white laser printers (one for each hallway) purchased. The laser printers will be placed in each hallway for teacher usage.  Teachers can still use their classroom printers but will be responsible for purchasing their own ink.  Teachers will have access to the new networked printers as well as a color printer (either in the library or the main computer lab).  Printers in the other buildings will be discussed as needed.
