FEBRUARY SOCIAL COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Members present:  Sue Clark, Lynn Stewart, and Marla Fox

Meeting started at: 3:05

Old Business

• February events:
  1. Flowers sent to secretary (S. Murrell) and teacher (K. Davis) due to hospital stay (S. Murrell) and for K. Davis outpatient surgery and long recovery time (six weeks).

2.        Congratulations card given to PSA, Mr. Hardy, for the arrival of his granddaughter.

New Business

• March events:
  1. Cafeteria Staff Appreciation Week
     • L. Stewart sent e-mail to remind teachers to create fruit-shaped appreciation notes.
     • M. Fox will shop and give cafeteria worker a 2 lbs. Box of Sharps’ mixed chocolates.
  2. Faculty Meeting on Tuesday, March 9, 2004

·         M. Fox will shop and pick-up soft drinks and bottled water.  Place in coolers with ice.

·         Have holiday party surveys photocopied and ready to be completed by faculty and staff. 

·         M. Fox will send an e-mail reminding faculty and staff to stop by the library to encourage them to complete the survey.

3. The Kindergarten Grade Level will provide treats for all staff and faculty.  The theme will be St. Patrick’s Day!
• April Events:
  1. Mr. McCaw will be recognized for his birthday.
• May Events:
  1. Retirement Dinner at University of Kentucky Boone

Faculty Club on May 6, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. for our PSA, Mr. Charlie Hardy.
