Stonewall Social Committee Minutes – Tues., December 3, 2002

Items Discussed: 

1.        Yesterday was the Holiday Party at Quail Run Clubhouse from 4 – 6 P.M.   We all had a merry time!  We received many positive notes from our staff.  We want to thank Juanita Whitaker for making the arrangements to use the clubhouse.

2.        Plans were finalized for the holiday gift presentation to certain members of our staff.  It will be held in the library before faculty meeting on Tuesday, December 10^th.

3.        Secret Santa will no longer be done through Social Committee.  The Holiday Party takes a lot of time and preparation, and it was felt that another group should sponsor this activity.

4.        A discussion was held on the amounts to be spent on staff moving or transferring to another school.  It was decided to increase the amounts for the following:  0-5 yrs. ($20); 6-10 yrs. ($25); 16-19 yrs. ($30).

5.        Charles Mink will be leaving Stonewall to become the head custodian at Arlington Elementary.  A gift certificate will be purchased for him on behalf of our staff.  We would also like the children of Stonewall to honor him by making cards.  Janie Fields will be asked to make a banner that will be hung in the front hall during his last week at Stonewall.
