Social Committee Minutes
                                                                Tuesday, November 6, 2001

Members Present:  Sarah Erwin, Lynn Stewart, Dana Rose, Janet Fisher, Karen Davis, and Debbie Moore.
Members Absent: Pam Mitchell (she attended the Writing Committee meeting)

The meeting was called to order at 2:30 P.M.

Items on the Agenda:

  1. Holiday Gifts were discussed.
  2. The Christmas Party will be held at Quail Run on December 6, 2001 from 4:00-6:00. Please give $5.00 to Sarah Erwin by: Wednesday, November 28th. The committee will meet again on November 28th to verify the number of people and other such information for this event.
  3. Secret Santa Week will be December 10-14th. The guidelines for Secret Santa will be placed in your mailbox. Please have the information filled out by November 12th. The drawing for Secret Santa will be November 13, at the faculty meeting. Secret Santa’s will be revealed at 2:30 on December 14th in the library.

Expenditures from the Social budget included:

  1. Bosses’ Day- They were honored with gift certificates.
  2. A card was sent to Mrs. Compton, our P.T. A. President.
  3. A contribution was made to Hospice in memory of Janet Fisher’s mother.
  4. Flowers were sent to Charlie Hardy after his brief illness.
  5. Charlie Hardy was honored on his birthday with a special “ Storyteller t-shirt”.
  6. Building Caretakers were honored with a special lunch from Stanley J’s and a card shower from the school.
