Social Committee Minutes
January 2, 2001

Members Present:  Pam Mitchell, Sarah Erwin, Lynn Stewart, Karen Davis, Debbie Moore

                The Christmas party was discussed and plans were made for next year.  Juanita Whitaker will be asked to reserve Quail Run Clubhouse for the first week of December.  The time will remain the same, 4:00 – 6:00 pm.  The committee has heard from many faculty members who enjoyed the location, time frame, and limiting the event to staff and faculty (no spouses).

                The May retirement dinner date was set for Thursday, May 10^th.  The UK Faculty Club will be reserved as last year.  Purchase of retirement gifts was discussed.

                Other upcoming events that involve the social committee in March and April were also discussed.

                A gift certificate from Babies R Us will be presented to Sandy Inouye upon the arrival of her baby this month.
