November Social Committee Minutes

               The revisions made on the Social Committee Guidelines were reviewed.   Several minor corrections were made.

            Dues were discussed.  We have been pleased with the percentage of staff membership.  We will continue to encourage all staff to join.

            Holiday party plans were discussed and finalized.  The party will be held at Harrod Hills Clubhouse on Thursday, December 7^th from 4 - 6 P.M.  The staff will be polled as to whether they would like to pay $5 for food or prepare it by grade levels/special areas.  Karen Davis will check on prices of various kinds of trays at Meijers.  Juanita Whitaker will be contacted as to setting up a time to see the clubhouse, so plans concerning decorations, etc. can be done.

            Our staff has shown an interest in doing Secret Santa, so we will draw names after the faculty meeting on Tuesday, November 21^st.  The guidelines will be:  Total cost for the week will be $20.  You may buy one large gift or several small ones.

            Purchases of holiday gifts was also discussed. Members of the committee were assigned to the different members on our list (principal, staff assistant, secretaries, cafeteria manager, cafeteria workers, and custodians).
