Stonewall Public Relations Committee Meeting -- 7 Oct 03 -- 2:45p-3:30p

Members present:  Michelle Cohron, Denise Knox (parents),  Brenda Burton, Kim Sponcil, Nancie Watson, Stacie Musgrave, Stefanie Britt, Kelly Gunn, Charlie Hardy 

 

Stefanie Britt attended a meeting on the Parent Involvement Tool Kit.  She gave us an overview of the tool kit.  The table of contents will be put in all teacher's mail boxes next Tuesday, 14 Oct and we will discuss it at the faculty meeting.  We think that Mrs. Adams or Mrs. Musgrave will house the PI Kit.  It has many interesting things in it that will not only lead to parent volunteerism, but also help us to involve our parents in the goings on of our school. 

 

We discussed the CSIP and each took a copy.  We will go over our copies and make additions, deletions, and corrections as we feel needed.  Everyone is supposed to be working on the CSIP and we compile our input at our November 11 meeting. 

 

As an afterthought and not discussed at the meeting, I am sure that we would like to thank our PTA for the "Walk Your Child to School Day" refreshments and PR on their part.  This mornings activities seemed to be very successful in a very large part due to our PTA.
