Public Relations Committee

April 1, 2003                                                                          Time: 2:30-3:15 p.m.

Absent: T. Prewitt

Old Business:

1.        T. Prewitt submitted an article to the Stonewall PTA newsletter thanking Ms. Fisher for the lovely art work displayed at our recent Art Fair.

2.        T. Prewitt submitted an article thanking faculty, staff and organizers of Winterfest.

3.        T. Prewitt submitted a third article thanking T. Moore for the successful Entrepreneur Fair.  Thanks were also expressed to parents and other volunteers for the Pizza Supper.

4.        T. Butler submitted information to T. Prewitt regarding the regional Science Fair.  There were three Stonewall winners recognized in the categories of Botany, Zoology and Water.  A follow up article was submitted to the PTA newsletter.

5.        T. Butler submitted an article to the PTA newsletter honoring Fayette County Choral Festival students.

6.        Thank you letters were sent to Teresa  Moore for the Entrepreneur Fair, Janet Fisher for the Art Fair and Doug Germann for the Rainforest Walk.

New Business:

1.        D. Moore will submit an article thanking Doug Germann for his hard work on Ag and Environment Day scheduled to be held on May 30.  Doug will discuss with Mr. McCaw the possibility of this being a school wide event.

2.        T. Butler requested awards for 5^th grade students from 5^th grade teachers.

3.        T. Butler will send a thank you note to Mary McClellan for her hard work on the Book Fair.

4.        T. Prewitt will submit an article to PTA newsletter thanking Mary for her hard work.

5.        D. Moore will submit an article to the PTA newsletter thanking Janie Griggs for Field Day and T. Butler will send a thank you note to Ms. Griggs regarding this.

Our next meeting will be held on Monday, April 28.
