  1. S. Veinot will contact Shannon Lyman, PTA Council member, to represent the Stonewall parents on the Public Relations Committee.  If Mrs. Lyman declines, the committee will submit a letter to the newsletter soliciting for this position.

3.   Goals:

·         Publicize school activities in the community

·         Recognize achievement by staff and students within the school and community

·         Utilize resources such as e-mail, PTA Newsletter, web site, neighborhood association newsletter, local government, newspaper, and television

·         Develop activities at the school that involve community resources

  1. Public Relations Committee minutes and Community Resource Guide are posted on the Intranet.
  2.  Old business discussed:

·         Ask T. Moore if she would like for the committee to write an article for the PTA Newsletter about the grant she received at the end of the 2001-2002 school year that enabled her to go to Japan.

·         To submit a letter to the PTA Newsletter thanking D. Germann for the beautification of the school grounds.

·         To recognize Dwayne Hausley in the Stonewall Newsletter as the Foster Parent of the Year.
