Public Relations Committee Meeting
February 5, 2002

Members present:  Charelle Wheeler, Donna Isaacs, Andrea Guise, Becky Horine, Doug Germann, Monica Mehanna, and Kim Sponcil 

A.      Donna Isaacs completed the Resource Packet.  Charelle will give packets to Mrs. Armistead to copy and give to Stonewall staff.

B.       Kim Sponcil will include the Resource Packet information in the next PTA Newsletter.  A copy will be available in the office, library, and each homeroom.

C.       PTA will sponsor the Wulfe Brothers appearance for $500.  This will have a patriotic theme.  A date and time will soon be announced.

D.      Becky Ferraro will notify the Lexington Herald-Leader about Stonewall’s upcoming Winterfest.  This will be advertised in the paper.

E.       Committee discussed PD suggestions for Teresa Moore.

F.       Donna Isaacs is the representative for the Elementary Forum.  The discussion on responsibilities of teachers for special needs children is an important issue.  There is a need in training for physical management.  This will be discussed further at the next Forum meeting.

G.       Committee discussed Equity/Character Education/Barrier Reduction portion of the Consolidated Plan.

H.      Andrea Guise will check on the changes the committee suggested.  These have not yet been posted.
