Relations Committee Minutes
October 2, 2001
Teachers
present: Guise, Horine, Sponcil,
Wheeler, Staton, Germann, Isaacs.
Kim
Sponcil sent in info on T. Moore to PTA newsletter, and will put a bug in
the Herald Leader’s ear about Stonewall’s Winterfest.
Ms.
Staton will be our new office liaison.
Horine
will get news from K to 2nd grade for newsletter and K. Sponcil
will do Intermediate. C.
Wheeler to do 3rd grade news.
Wheeler
has been putting Birthday cards in mailboxes for staff member’s birthdays!
A.Guise
has been working with community involvement and has encouraged Mrs Armistead,
a parent, to join our committee.
We
are currently working on finding a way to celebrate our test scores.
It decided to check into having the Wulfe Brothers to come for a
patriotic concert and B. Horine will check where the money will come from to
fund such an event.
On
reviewing the Consolidated Plan…
We
would recommend that we add a writing specialist, and continue the reading tutor
and 4 year old program. Also,
ensure that each classroom is using recommendations that the folks shared from
the Closing the Gap Institute.
