1.        Provide and inform the staff of professional development opportunities;

2.        Coordinate PD to comply with the CSIP (Comprehensive School Improvement Plan);

3.        Oversee the accounting of PD funds.

Agenda:

1)                   Discuss PD hours to be approved for Gunn, Vanover and Johnson

2)                   Blood Borne Pathogens On line training

3)                   Ed’s assignment for PD policy

4)                   Funds for Janice Duncan’s sub during PD training

Discussion on each item:

1)            Discussed approval of 9 PD hours for teachers who hired in after the school year had started – Johnson and Vanover.  Also discussed the 36 hours of PD for K. Gunn.

2)            Discussed the amount of time it took teachers to do the Blood Borne Pathogens training and what should be allotted for PD time

3)             Discussed the policy for determining our staff PD needs.

4)             We talked about a sub for Janice Duncan's PD workshop

Action taken on each item:

1)                   Committee approved 9 hours of PD for teachers hired after school started – Johnson and Vanover.  Plus approved 36 hours for Gunn that were earned this summer.

2)                   Decided to give one hour PD for Blood Born Pathogens

3)                   The PD Committee at Stonewall will review our school needs based on a variety of assessment tools.  These will include the CATs testing, other assessments, and staff input. The committee will then develop appropriate recommendations for staff PD.

4)                   Funds were approved for Janice Duncan’s sub while gone for PD.
