Members Present: Bonnie Mooney, Sarah Erwin, Teresa Moore, Diana Barnes, and Gary Justice

1. Agenda:
   1. Request for approval of PD for Dana Hougland  
   2. Considerations for PD for 2004-2005 
2. Discussion:
   1. The committee approved Dana Hougland and Jo Bartlett’s request to attend an in-service at the Autism Institute in June. The cost will be $415.80 for each person. The information that she receives will be shared with the faculty during the PD training for the next school year.
   2. The considerations for PD 2004/2005 are as follows:

1.        Math In-service with Bev Dean for primary and intermediate and open response groups for  8/11/04.

2.        Autism Training for primary and intermediate. Gary Justice contacted presenters and set the date for August 12 for 6 hours.

3.        The Bluegrass Writing Project will be contacted by Teresa Moore for PD to give further training in writing skills for primary and intermediate.

4.        We are also looking at possible PD for ESL and Technology .We will talk with Dana Lykins and UK concerning these possibilities.

5.        Bonnie Mooney is going to contact Bill Meck (the weather man) for a possible PD involving science concepts.

6.        Sarah Erwin is contacting Children’s Theatre concerning possible PD with the Arts as a focus.

If you are considering future in-service or PD opportunities talk with the PD chairman because there are new guidelines concerning food expenses.
