PD Minutes

March 2, 2004

1. Discussion / considerations about PD for 2004-2005:  

A.      Math – contact Bev Dean for primary / intermediate math PD, concepts

             Followed by open response development  (3 hours each)

B.       Writing – Julie Pearman will be providing the PD committee with information

                                          About a particular presenter; if costs are too high, the PD committee

                                           May check into sharing with another school  (6 hours)

C.       Special Education – the PD committee will check with Jo concerning Sp Ed

Updates (1-2 hours) 

D.      ESL – the committee will check into instructors from UK experienced in

Training teachers in ESL 

E.       Grade Level / Content Level Groups – to develop open response questions in

Content / tested areas (3 hours)

F.       Other Possibilities: 

§         Digital Poetry with Dayna Lykins (1 hour each after school, up to 3 hours) 

§         Geography / Maps training

§         Bill Meck

§         Drama / Children’s Theatre

§         Living Arts and Science

§         Autism Training
