PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Members Present:  Diana Barnes, Gary Justice, Teresa Moore, Sandy Veinot

·         In Grade Level meetings this week, please discuss ideas for next year’s PD sessions and e-mail those ideas to Gary Justice.  This includes ideas for group PD sessions outside of school that could be funded by PD.  Money is available.

·         A five day notice is needed for any PD leave requiring a sub. Get requests in early!  No subs available for March 3rd or 4th. 

·         If you have I-3 hours of PD credit beyond the 24 required hours, stipends will be paid.

·         All 24 hours of required PD credit next year will be flexible. No non-flexible credit next year.

·         Portfolio training in May.  Those taking portfolio training must schedule subs now. PD cannot be used for scoring portfolios, only for training.

·         Summer Leadership Institute will be June 9-11.
