Professional Development Committee Minutes

October 7, 2003

Members Present:  Gary Justice, Bonnie Mooney, Sarah Erwin, Diana Barnes, Teresa Moore, Sandy Veinot

I.  Professional Development Requests have been approved for Paul Englebrecht and Tanya Butler.

II. Newly released professional development opportunities / workshops will be forwarded via email, as well as posted on the PD board (across from the mailboxes).

III. When submitting requests for “Group PD” credit, a completed form for each person in the group needs to be submitted. (Note:  the same form CAN be run off for each person). This is a FCPS record-keeping request.

IV.  When submitting “Request for Professional Leave,” a sub request form must also be attached. One cannot be processed without the other.

V. The next non-flexible PD day (Nov. 4) will be:

                  3 hours             Math (problem solving, open response) with Bev Dean

                                          (Intermediate and Primary will be separate) 

                  3 hours             Developing Open Response Questions (with your level or                                           area)
