Professional Development Committee Minutes
November 6, 2001

Members present: T. Moore, J. Galbraith, E. Haggard, G. Justice, and B. Mooney

Revise P.D. Committee Minutes for Oct. 2: B. Mooney needs to be added to members present at that meeting.

We reviewed the Professional Development Policy. We made no changes.

P.D. time will be credited to 4^th and 5^th grade teachers that completed G.S.S.P. (Gifted Student Service Plan) training outside of school hours.

Committee began to discuss possible ideas / topics for school wide PD for the 2002-2003 school year. (Some suggestions: curriculum compacting, writing, and center based or thematic based instruction) Committee members will continue to identify possible PD sessions/topics for the next school year.
