PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES
October 2, 2001
Members present: T. Moore, J. Galbraith, L. Cress, M. J. Kinman, G. Justice
We discussed Professional Development funds for classified staff and reimbursement for parents. Classified staff may be paid stipends at their current hourly rate for professional development activities.
Requests may not be approved for several reasons. Parents may not be paid stipends, but may be reimbursed for expenses and fees for training or related committee work. For more information, contact Professional Development.
Budgeting for the 2001-2002 year was discussed. Funds must be spent by April/May 2002. We do not know our exact funding allowance at this point. Professional Development will use a portion of the funds to purchase a set of tapes from a series called “Teach Me Japanese”.
