Agenda: Discuss first grade zoo trip & fifth grade field trip

Discussion on each item:

First grade zoo trip was put on hold after concerns were raised over the cost of the trip versus what another school was paying for the same trip.  More information was going to be gathered with the help of Mrs. Cress and Mrs. Erwin.

Fifth grade walking trip to Tumbleweed was discussed with little concern since the trip would be two classes at a time, not all four classes at once.  Mexico , Canada and US history are curricular areas that are to be covered in fifth grade social studies.

Action taken on each item:

Fifth grade trip was approved.  First grade trip will be discussed at the next meeting, scheduled for February 22, 2005.  At this meeting, we will be going over textbook adoption choices made by the grade levels, and if enough information has been gathered concerning the first grade trip, discussion of that trip will happen.
