Stonewall Curriculum Committee
Tuesday September 3, 2002

 Members Present:  Sue Clark, Becky Horine, Leslie LeBlanc, Stacie Musgrave and Kim Sponcil.  Regina Adams was also present to consult the Curriculum Committee in preparing the ESS (Extended School Services) Proposal for this school year.

 A general discussion was held concerning our budget of $16,835.53, which is approximately $3,000 less than last year’s budget.  The following recommendations were made through consensus: 

 The committee asks that grade levels review these recommendations and specific input is requested.  We encourage grade levels to make recommendations based on the needs of students in their grade level.  We are asking each grade level to develop a list of students who teachers feel are in need at services at this time and make those available to Regina by Monday, September 16th.    The committee thought it would be better to start ESS a little later in the school year and develop a well-thought plan than to just simply continue doing what we’ve been doing in the past.  Some of our children are in need of different strategies and teaching approaches and we would like for ESS to better meet the needs of students who are referred for assistance.
