STONEWALL CURRICULUM COMMITTEE MEETING
APRIL MINUTES 

Date:  Tuesday, April 9, 2002
Time:  2:30 – 3:15 p.m.
Members present:  Marla Fox, Charlie Hardy, Lu Ann Hawkins, Ashley Keenan, Ed McCaw, Sandy Veinot, and Nancie Watson

Items presented:

1. Marla Fox expressed educational concern for no plans or accommodations for our Stonewall Kindergarten students, who have readiness needs (reading and math skills mastery) prior entering first grade with the current Extended School Services plans for this Summer 2002.  The Stonewall Kindergarten Teachers will submit a memo proposal request to:  Regina Adams, Ed McCaw, SBDM Council , and the Stonewall Curriculum Committee for any possible consideration or opportunity if additional ESS funding may become available. 
2. Mr. Hardy presented a review rubric that was completed by Central Office for our Stonewall Consolidated Plan format.
3. Mr. Hardy read a response letter to the rubric reviewer, which was written by our principal, Mr. McCaw.  Mr. McCaw responded to each item and comment presented.   During our committee meeting, as noted prior, Mr. McCaw attended and interjected verbal clarification on responses when needed.
4. The new Stonewall Consolidated Plan format has been presented and reviewed by our faculty.  The new format will be presented for review and adoption by our SBDM Council.
