Curriculum Committee
Meeting of December 4, 2001

Members Present:  Sandy Veinot, Kelly Gunn, Marla Fox, LuAnn Hawkins, Nancie Watson,

The committee discussed putting together the Consolidated Plan.  We will wait until the other committees have given us their information.

We also discussed portfolio development at Stonewall.  This is of paramount importance to all teachers - If a portfolio piece is to be submitted as part of the 4th grade portfolio, all rules regulating portfolio development should be followed.  This means that some pieces that are used strictly as teaching pieces should not be put in the developmental portfolio folder and be passed on to the next grade level.  Only pieces developed under the "rules" should be submitted as pieces for the 4th grade portfolio.

The other question that was discussed was regarding each grade level developing all four portfolio pieces.  There are different views on this and it needs to be addressed in a faculty meeting and small groups.
