1.     Subject: D.O.L.

2. Subject:  Special Classes

Highlights:  The committee will present the results of the concerns about special classes.  The committee will ask for a closed vote for the help of these classes.  The vote will consist of:

      a.          vote for 10 minutes between classes  (this is for the science labs)
b.        ask for assistance as needed
c.          leave as is

Special notice that Amy Ford is asking for:

      a.          An assistant or teacher be in the lab for half the time with the K classes.
b.        An assistant or teacher be in the lab for the first semester of first grade.
c.          If Amy is introducing a new concept, it would not be unreasonable to ask the teacher or assistant to come and watch, learn and assist for all levels. Many of the projects can continue to be worked on in the classroom.  This would help the teacher/assistant to help with projects and meet the guidelines of implementing technology into the classroom studies.

Janie Griggs will present this at the faculty meeting.

 3.  Subject:  Social Studies

Highlights:  Social Studies Core Content for Assessment needs to be looked at again.  The committee is asking that each grade level meet and discuss what exactly is covered in the classroom.    Pam Mitchell will be asked, if available, for an updated version of the Ky. core content for Social Studies.  Lynda Davis will be in contact with Pam.

 4.  Subject:  Intermediate Resource Class

Highlights:  Janel will meet with Ed to discuss a month-to-month curriculum alignment for this position.
