Climate, Equity, and Guidance Committee

December Meeting 

Members present:  Prewitt, Hawkins, Cress, Melton, Fisher, & Horine

Guest:  Mr. McCaw

Donna Lansden is now on the SBDM Council and no longer a member of this committee.

There was a lengthy discussion of the “birthday invitation” policy.  

An adult should deliver invitations to the child’s teacher.   There should be an invitation for each boy, each girl, or every student.  (Parents should check with the teacher or the office for the correct number of students in the class.)  The teacher to make sure every student receives one should pass out invitations. 

This will be presented to the faculty at the January meeting, and then to the Council for first reading.
