Student
placement cards:
The
committee discussed the need to include information on the placement cards that
reflects the “true nature” of the student’s behavior, emotional, social
and psychological needs, academic performance, and academic support (i.e. ESS,
ESL, off-campus tutoring, parental support).
Special area teachers should have an input on the placement of students
in classes next year.
Science
textbook adoption:
Books
have been distributed to grade levels for evaluation.
Brenda Burton can contact company representatives to give presentations
on science textbooks. Teachers have
until May to decide which textbook to adopt for the school.
B. Burton will give the staff an update on the timeline for this year’s
textbook adoption procedure.
