Arts Magazine
This is a new publication the PTA
will publish this year. The annual magazine will contain artwork and
literature by Stonewall students. All students will be encouraged to
submit work for the magazine.

Homeroom
Parents
The homeroom parents assist with
field trips, special projects, and two classroom parties (winter
holiday and Valentine’s Day). A separate listing of the homeroom
parents will be sent home with each student. For a specific classroom
contact, please contact the teacher.

Kentucky
Kids’ Day
This is a day set aside by the
Kentucky PTA to build self-esteem, focus the attention of the
community on the needs of children and youth and to let our children
know they are special. The PTA plans a special activity for the
students.

Market
Day
A food co-op fund-raiser. Orders are
taken monthly during the school year and picked up in the cafeteria.
The products are quick to prepare, competitively priced, uniquely
packaged and guaranteed for 100% satisfaction.

Memory
Book
The PTA published a yearbook as a
service to the students of Stonewall School. Plan to purchase a Memory
Book this year, your child will treasure it for years to come.

Music
Concerts
Programs are presented during the
year, usually in December and May by Stonewall’s fine musicians. The
band is made up of 5th grade students; orchestra and chorus
members are 4th and 5th graders.

Pizza
Supper
A pizza supper held in the cafeteria
for students, staff and their families. This is a good time to visit
with Stonewall friends! |Top

PTA
Newsletter
The newsletter is published monthly
and sent home with each student. It will keep you informed of school
activities, PTA and classroom news and a current calendar of
events.

Reflections
This is a National PTA arts
competition with categories for visual arts, music, literature, and
photography. There is a new theme every year. All students are
encouraged and eligible to enter. A copy of the entry rules will be
made available in the library. Stonewall’s winners will advance to
District competition.

Science
Fair
This event is open to 4th
and 5th graders. All entrants will be interviewed by judges
and participation will be recognized. The interesting and educational
exhibits are open to the public to observe.

Spirit
Day
The PTA sponsors Spirit Day
throughout the year to encourage the students to show their school
spirit. On these days we encourage them to wear the school colors or
Stonewall shirts. Spirit Days are the last school day of each month.
On this day PTA provides popcorn for all students.

Winterfest
Don’t miss this wonderful event. It
is an indoor carnival which includes games, refreshments, and lots of
fun for the whole family.
